Enjoy a free National Park Weekend now! The Free National Park Weekend is from February 14th through the 16th. This weekend is to honor Presidents Day and the National Parks are offering free entrance to those that normally have a fee. Many National Parks are always free to enter. Only about a one third of America’s National Parks even require a fee.

This Free National Park Weekend does not normally apply to campground reservations or other paid for activities inside the National Park. Check your local National Park as they may have other deals or activities going on during this Free National Park Weekend for Presidents Day.

Visit one of the scores of national parks with a direct connection to a president, including birthplaces, homes, monuments, memorials, and historic sites. One national park, the White House, has been the residence of every United States president except George Washington.

In addition to the 405 national parks, the National Park Service helps communities preserve other presidential sites through programs such as the National Register of Historic Places and National Historic Landmarks. Keep in mind that only sites in the National Park System have free entrance this weekend.
